It’s been a while since anyone’s posted on here so I thought I’d bring you up to date with everything Episode related. With the band entering very probably the most exciting period yet, there are a few stories you might just want to know about…
As you may have already heard, Episode are recording THIS SATURDAY (23rd). This will be the first in a string of recording sessions, and in the next few months most of the demos for the album, Alien Is An Understatement, should be done. This is big news as for the last 8 months only two songs have been recorded and available to listen to, and from Sunday or Monday, another three songs will be added for you to download, free of course. All going well, these should be My Definition, Seize the Day and One Way Ticket. Yes, this is the second time recording a demo of One Way Ticket, but it has been changed and updated and needs to be perfect before it gets sent off, with other songs of course, to record producers, but that’s a whole other post. This also may seem a strange choice of songs, but Saturday’s recording will be at Turtle Studios, which, although cheap, is not the best quality and so the lead songs from the album will be recorded at Ash Milton Studios in a few months time.
Recording will take place on Saturday and mixing should finish during Sunday, so there is a possibility that the songs may be on the website on Sunday, although they will most probably be uploaded on Monday afternoon. Subscribe by RSS, become a fan on Facebook or follow us on Twitter to receive the latest updates, and I will hopefully be able to persuade Finbar to fire off a few tweets during recording.
There has been a distinct lack of gigs this year to focus on recording, but this will hopefully soon change as Episode will probably be playing Heatham February band night, but this has not yet been confirmed. We are also looking into doing a charity gig for Haiti with other local bands, although are struggling to find a suitable free venue.
There is however a lot of flux around, so more real news when the air clears…
